Phu Fighters are a professional shockball team based in the Phu sector, the heart of the Mecrotica Conglomerate. Founded for the relaunch of the Galactic Shockball League (GSL) beta competition, the Fighters are owned by controversial shockball figure Bouma Ga`Mon and managed by Jensen Odama. Playing their home matches at the Phu Arena in Phu (Sector) Deep Space, they compete in the Core Conference, New Territories Division. Closely tied to Mecrotica’s corporate interests, the club’s roster is primarily drawn from within the Mecrotica Conglomerate and its partners, giving the Fighters a reputation as a well-resourced but polarizing franchise.
Beta Season
The Phu Fighters entered the GSL beta season as a newly assembled franchise, built around a core of Mecrotica‑affiliated players. The team endured a rough opening stretch, going without a victory in their first several matches as they adjusted to one another and to the revived, experimental format of shockball under Commissioner Tholme So and Director of Operations Bouma Ga`Mon.
As the season progressed, however, the Fighters’ cohesion and tactical identity sharpened. Under manager Jensen Odama, the side developed into a resilient, hard‑working unit capable of grinding out results against more established opposition. Their strong finish saw them climb the standings and ultimately secure 4th place with a 12W–3D–3L record, qualifying for the beta season playoffs in their very first campaign.

In the beta-season playoffs, the Phu Fighters went on a historic wildcard run, winning their way through a 12-team tournament without conceding a single goal. Across two-leg ties, the Fighters defeated the Dxun Basilisks (6–0, 5–0), the Tanaab Titans (3–0, 5–0), the Abbaji Raiders (2–0, 2–0), and the Shownar Shockers (2–0, 2–0) to secure both the conference title and the overall Galactic Shockball Beta Cup.
