Born in a semi-wealthy family, Darin was a fortunate child. He grew up near the Manarai Mountains, just east of the Western Sea. His family owned a few of the many restaurants that existed on the mountains. They were luxurious spots for the people who were normally surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the giant city that covered the majority of the planet's surface.


Due to his family's position in this part of the planet, Darin grew up around many diplomats and businessmen from all over the galaxy. He liked the idea of diplomacy from an early age, but had his sights on the University of Coruscant. Darin's parents always had high expectations of him, and the idea that he would live off of the wealth they had built was not even thought about.
