Becoming Aware

Noah had always been aware of some slight differences in his experience with the galaxy when compared to others. For the most part he always considered himself very lucky, be it finding exactly what he needed at the right time, or as extreme as the blaster bolt veering inches away from his face. He had never really put much thought into it until he crossed a wanderer in the rocky plains of Kiffex one day. A Kaleesh in whom he never did receive a name, only a statement that he had known the Hatfield family for some time now and was not there to cause him any harm. The wanderer asked several questions pertaining to Noah's knowledge of his own family, particularly his brothers Dain and Colton. As Noah had only known them as a child he was not quite sure why the wanderer had any interest in them. During their conversation however the two were attacked by several Duracrete slugs, which seemed to be enraged from taking stray bolts from a nearby hunting party that were not accurate enough to make their kills. The two immediately counter attacked, but the overwhelming power of the group was to much to stop. The wander attempted to grab Noah and save him but the slug gained distance to fast, and he was lucky just to get out of the way of the incoming stampede. After the dust cleared, the wanderer was almost certain that Noah had been killed in the ambush. To his surprise though he felt a strong surge in the force coming from a pile of rocks shaped like a human size tepee. Upon removing the rocks he found Noah alive, but out cold. After a short while the wanderer was able to revive him and asked Noah if he knew what had happened. Still groggy from the events, and sapped of most of his energy Noah simply stated that when the slugs rushed by a bunch of falling rocks landed on top of him and it must have knocked him out cold. The wanderer refused to accept this answer and told him it was something far more than that. He could feel the force within Noah, and that the rocks did not fall but were rather pulled in to form a shell by him - and that the immediate draw on so much energy is what cause him to black out.

The two discussed the topic of the force over the rest of the evening and that night, and the wanderer reached out into the force to tap into Noah's hidden potential and revealed to him his true power. He instructed him on some very basic techniques to help attune him to the force better than he was, but told him he would need a master to teach him the true aspects of the force. Noah agreed to at least accept the fact he was force sensitive but had no desire to pledge himself to any master, at least not yet.. Soon after the two parted ways and that was the last that Noah saw of the wanderer for some time, never learning his true name. Only that his brothers called him Z. For several days afterwards Noah began to reflect on the events that had transpired and began to practice some of the techniques the wanderer had taught him. Over that period of time he could not deny what he felt inside of him. He could feel the force...
