The Chief of State of the New Republic is the highest political office within the Republic, dealing with several tasks.
Tasks
The Chief of State:
- is the head of the Executive Branch,
- is the Commander in Chief of the military forces,
- acts as the link between the Senate of the New Republic and the Executive branch,
- can break tied votes within the Senate,
- is responsible for management of the Senate elections,
- can grant pardons.
The current (since Year 12 Day 17) Chief of State is Taka Aioko.
