New Republic Chief of State

The Chief of State of the New Republic is the highest political office within the Republic, dealing with several tasks. The Chief of State:

• is the head of the Executive Branch;
• is the Commander in Chief of the military forces;
• acts as the link between the Senate of the New Republic and the Executive branch;
• can break tied votes within the Senate;
• is responsible for management of the Senate elections;
• can grant pardons.

The current Chief of State is Taka Aioko.
