The Battle was considered concluded when the New Republic secured enough loyalty among the Chiss cities and established a shield protecting a planet. Neither Black Nebula, nor its successor,the Old Republic ceded victory to the New Republic until Year 12, when both sides reached a settlement resulting in the Old Republic withdrawing their claim and transferring claimed territory to the New Republic.
