The Mandroxan Syndicate first appeared in the Year 13, around Day 232, although rumour has it that the sentients who started it had long been friends, and had been selling weapons to anybody that could scrape enough credits together for a purchase. How they acquired a legal weapons licence is anyone’s guess, but with the decline of the ryll market and sentients becoming more and more paranoid, legitimate sales of weapons and items seemed to be the logical step for these unorthodox businessmen.
According to spaceport rumors, the tale of the Mandroxan Syndicate begins with a ragtag band of alien gun-runners employed by Voragga the Hutt. These gun-runners sold magnetically-sealed crates of black-market weaponry to any hoodlum or rebel who could scrape together enough credits for purchase. They also sold Ryll, a precious ore harvested from the mines of Ryloth and used as a drug in the form of refined spice.
Looking for a central base of operations, they set up in the Morath Nebula. Slowly carving a niche for themselves in weapons design and production, the syndicate aimed to supply both large governments and the discerning individual with ‘ready to fire’ weapons.  Despite the transition to legitimate business many rumours persist about the Syndicate. Whispers of competitors in their territory going missing and known rivals of the group turning up dead are widespread.

Law enforcement groups all agree that the Mandroxan Syndicate is for the most part a criminal organization, although no solid evidence has been forthcoming to substantiate these baseless accusations. Despite all these hurdles they have avoided criminal prosecution, due mainly to their close family-like work environment, and to their discrete supply of ryll to government officials to a lesser degree.

The Mandroxan Syndicate was a short-lived item manufacturing company that specialized in weaponry. Owned and operated by Devaronian entrepreneur Asmo Bodan, the company was among the first weapon dealers to arrive in the Derra system after the outbreak of the Great Animosity Plague.

History

According to spaceport rumors, the tale of the Mandroxan Syndicate begins with a ragtag band of alien gun-runners employed by Voragga the Hutt. These gun-runners sold magnetically-sealed crates of black-market weaponry to any hoodlum or rebel who could scrape together enough credits for purchase. They also sold Ryll, a precious ore harvested from the mines of Ryloth and used as a drug in the form of refined spice.

With the abrupt decline of the Ryll market, sentient beings across the galaxy became paranoid and sought to protect themselves from imaginary threats; hence, the mass sale of legal weapons for self-defense seemed a wise investment for these unorthodox businessmen. How they acquired a legal weapons license is anyone's guess.

Circa Year 13 Day 232, they filed a business application with the InterGalactic Records Office and titled their company as the Mandroxan Syndicate. Searching for a base of operations, they set-up shop in the perilous Morath Nebula. The Syndicate supplied both large governments and paranoid freelancers with ‘ready to fire’ weapons. Gradually, they carved out a niche for themselves in projectile design and production.

Despite their transition to legitimate business, scurrilous rumors persisted about the Syndicate. Competitors in their territory either disappeared or died. Law enforcement groups in the Outer Rim believed that the Mandroxan Syndicate was, for the most part, a criminal organization although no evidence substantiated such accusations. Fortunately, the Syndicate avoided criminal prosecution due to their discrete supply of ryll to government bureaucrats in high places.

After the untimely death of their notorious leader Azalus Outmian, the Syndicate fell into decline and later merged with another organization.
