The Treaty of Rachuk
The Treaty of Rachuk was an agreement between the Galactic Empire and the Krath Dynasty signed in the waning days of The War for the Republic. Signed on Day 214 of Year 21, Emperor Seele of the Empire and Emperor Talak Kasra of the Krath formally ended hostilities between the two nations. Historically, the Krath had been members of the Galactic Alliance, vocally opposing the Empire and the two powers had frequently clashed, most notably in Year 14 on Derra IV. Hostilities cooled in Year 19, when the Krath left the Galactic Alliance, citing disputes with the New Republic, but there had not been any official declarations of peace between the two enemies before this treaty. The Treaty of Rachuk established peaceful relations between the two empires, where the Galactic Empire recognized the sovereignty and neutrality of the Krath, and the Krath recognized territorial claims of the Galactic Empire and ended their war against them. As part of the agreement, the Krath withdrew their military from the Rachuk sector, disputed territory long claimed by the Galactic Empire; the Empire in turn recognized the Krath as rightful rulers of the Marasa Nebula.
