Draelor Decessus Nah`utal (/'dreɪ:loʊr dɛk:ʌ:sʌs næːoʊ:tɔl/;; born Year -16, Day 120 17:20 CGT) is the former Minister of the Interior in the Galactic Empire under Grand Vizier Jai Meridan, a powerful Sith Lord in the Order of the Sith loyal to Dark Lord of the Sith Daelis Stanov and Emperess Inwe Ventidius, the heir to the Regency of the Kiffar Southlands in the Azurbani system, and an incredibly affluent Galactic Bank investor with a net worth of billions. He has been credited with the unification of an entire planet and its resident species, thus ending thousands of years of feuding and tribal warfare, a feat for which he is well renowned. His marriage to Relena Vercet, mediated by former Emperor Guinar Ndengin in Year 17, became known as the wedding that united the Kiffar people. For it and other reasons, he has been credited with the unification of an entire planet and its resident species, thus ending thousands of years of feuding and tribal warfare, a feat for which he is well renowned.

Biographical Information
Early Life
Draelor Nah`utal was born in the ancestral city of Clan Nah`utal on their homeworld of Kiffex to matriarch Aethia Nah`utal and patriarch Decessus Nah`utal during the First of the Year. A Kiffar holiday known to celebrate Kochik, head of the Kiffar deity, the First of the Year was celebrated along with the birth of the ruling family’s first son and heir. Draelor’s birth is often compared with blessings from Kochik, as the year of his birth was followed by one of the most lucrative hunting and harvesting seasons that Kiffar Elders recount to date. However, such a turn of events set a high standard for the young Kiffar infant, but his success later in life would be attributed to his loving parents and not divine intervention.
Raised as typically as any Kiffar child was, Draelor did not suffer being spoiled with the same sheltered or coddled life that many royal children on other worlds often did. He was expected to perform his equal share of work as soon as he was able, which saw him chopping wood with other boys, and assisting stone layers, farmers, or his mother in the kitchen. His childhood and his interaction with his parents and other Kiffar adults on a daily basis shaped Draelor into a well-respected, stout young Kiffar youth. He was as independent and capable of surviving on his own as any Kiffar was, but was also capable of leading, following, and understanding the value of a team.
At the ripe age of twelve, Draelor ceased to be an only child and traded it in for the honor of being an older brother. Decessus and Aethia gave birth to another child – a little girl – that they named Anabelle, to whom Draelor quickly grew attached. As his sister grew older and increasingly beautiful, his attachment was aided by protectiveness for his younger sister. He would often find himself watching anyone who showed an interest in Anabelle, sometimes inquiring with others about those who did. However, he knew his sister was raised to be as independent as he was, so the scarce number of times that his intervention was required were all reactive in nature.
When Draelor reached the age of thirteen, his interests turned to history and he spent much of his time studying and asking the Nah`utal historians a great number of questions. During his early teenage years, the questions he asked were limited to subjects such as the deeper meaning and more information regarding the history of Clan Nah`utal, other clans in the Kiffar Southland as well as the lands to the North, and the general history of the Kiffar people. However, as he grew older his interests reached for the stars. Nearly an adult, Draelor began to ask questions to which the Nah`utal historians did not always know the answer. His studies could only reveal so much and he wanted to know more.
Adulthood
Yoav Isaija, Year 2 |
On the eve of his eighteenth birthday, Draelor Nah`utal was introduced by his father to a man that hailed from one of the Nah`utal’s ourvir clans. The Kiffar’s name was Yoav Isaija of Clan Immell, from even further south than the lands of Clan Nah`utal. Yoav Isaija was a well-aged elder Kiffar with silver-grey, loosely combed back hair and an equally shaded scruffy beard covering the majority of his face below his strong cheekbones. Greyer still were his eyes which Draelor would later remark, "seemed to burn holes right through my face". Draelor, Yosav, and his father Decessus had a very serious conversation about Draelor’s clear interest in the galaxy beyond their own world of Kiffex.
Decessus Nah`utal explained to his son and heir that Yoav Isaija was one of the most well-traveled Kiffar that he had ever known, acting on the same desire during his early life that Draelor felt then. The southern hemisphere of Kiffex was home to clans that were more open to outsiders than their brothers and sisters in the northern hemisphere, so southern Kiffar venturing out into the greater galaxy was not unheard of. During their conversation, Yoav was able to answer every question that the Nah`utal historians could not. The conversation came to a head and Draelor was offered the option to take a furlough with Yoav Isaija to realize his dream of exploration. He would work for and train with Yoav for the succeeding three years, soaking in as much knowledge as he could from the fellow Kiffar.
Around the time of his twenty-first birthday, Draelor returned to the ancestral city of Basa Oihanak Gortoleku during the beginning of the Feast of Hastere for the previous season. Another traditional Kiffar holiday, the Feast of Hastere celebrated the Kiffar Goddess known as Hastere by clans partaking in their own culmination of a feast of the rewards of the hunting and growing seasons from the preceding year. That year’s feast was especially exciting for Clan Nah`utal as the son of the Sheyf had returned from his time away. The feast was filled with stories of sprawling cityscapes, endless rolling plains, lush forests, and rivers that flowed around the planet of Alderaan.
Feast of Hastere, Year 5 |
During his time with Yoav Isaija, after having learned as much as he could from simply traveling around the planet he was born on, Draelor had traveled off world with the Kiffar to Alderaan where he furthered his knowledge of the greater galaxy. Yoav had chosen to show the young Kiffar the planet of Alderaan for many purposes, chief among them the diametrically opposed cultures of the Kiffar people and the Alderaanian people. Kiffex and Alderaan rivaled each other with their beauty, with which Draelor immediately identified. Ancestral houses dotted Alderaan just as ancestral clans dotted Kiffex. However, the Kiffar people adhered to a warrior culture while the Alderaanian people favored diplomacy above all else. This was a shock that invoked deep thought within Draelor as he spent time with Yoav and the regal friends Yoav had made on Alderaan.
The following year Draelor lived in harmony with his people, devoting his time to his clan, and the traditions that were upheld within the Kiffar Southland. However, he often found his mind drifting to the great beyond that he had only explored a fraction of during his furlough with Yoav. He wanted to know more and that following fall, Draelor announced his intentions to his parents. Decessus and Aethia did not savor the feeling of losing their only son in the long-term, but they understood that a permanent life on Kiffex was not Draelor’s future at that time. They knew he would return when the time was necessary to take up the mantle of Sheyf of Clan Nah`utal, but until that time, prayers were sent to Kochik and Iotcha by Decessus and Aethia. Within a fortnight, Draelor caught a transport out of Deadend, that was bound for the Coruscant system.
The three day trip from Azurbani to Coruscant was comparable to the three day trip from Azurbani to Alderaan, so leaving Kiffex was a familiar feeling. However, as the transport dropped out of hyperspace, Draelor received a shock that has stayed with him for years. During their trip to Alderaan, Yoav described Imperial warships to Draelor; he described colossal machines such as the Victory I-class Star Destroyer or the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer, as well as the behemoth, described as the Executor-class Star Destroyer which Yoav colloquially referred to as a Super Star Destroyer. However, during their trip, they resided in an interior cabin and so he did not see any Imperial ships.
There was little that could prepare him for the shocking sight of an Executor-class Star Destroyer supported by several smaller Imperial and Victory I-class Star Destroyers as well as various other ships he did not recognize. Civilian transports such as their own appeared inconsequential to the awesome power that orbited the Imperial capital of Coruscant, the perceived center of the galaxy. Hours later the transport touched down in a landing pad within CoCo Town, the industrial area for which the transport was destined. The Kiffar stepped off of the loading ramp and into the crowd, beginning his journey as one face in a crowd of billions.
University of Coruscant
Caelius and Nah`utal, Year 8 |
After spending the majority of the second half of Year 5 exploring Coruscant, Draelor Nah`utal had grown fond of the planet and the diverse culture that it offered him. As far as Coruscant was concerned, he had been everywhere twice and talked to everyone once. His knowledge had expanded exponentially by simply sitting at bars or working odd jobs in diners, listening to the pilots and sentients that came from all walks of life. Life on his own was hard at first, as he found himself pinching every credit that he could, learning the value of it as he lived. His parents had given him enough credits to survive for a reasonable amount of time until he found his own way, sending him off with roughly 2,500 credits, continuing the tradition of an uncoddled lifestyle. He rented a bare studio apartment that was equidistant to all of the establishments that he had developed relationships with, for steady work performing all manner of tasks.
As Year 5 came to a close with Draelor’s internal celebration of the First of the Year, Year 6 brought new interests to him. A passing freighter pilot spoke of a mighty race of capable warriors known as the Wookiees that hailed from the planet of Kashyyyk. During his tenure on Coruscant, he had not stumbled upon another culture that sounded similar to his own so this interested him greatly. For the following months, he saved his credits and bartered passage on a merchant’s freighter with credits and the offer to help repair what he could on the trader’s ship. As a youth and during his time on Coruscant, he had experimented with repairing speeders, kitchen equipment, and anything he could get his hands on. He had become efficient but was far from a master mechanic. His skill, however, bought him passage to the Wookiee planet of Kashyyyk.
His exploration of Kashyyyk was widely successful as he gave every effort to learn about the Wookiees; he learned about their history, their culture, their language, their customs, and more. He had learned that the Wookiees were not necessarily a warrior culture similar to the Kiffar, but they were capable of producing mighty warriors and hunters. He learned of their respect for their world and the forest floor of the Shadowlands, which after months of language practice, he had been invited to participate in a hunt by the Wookiees. Learning the native language of Shryiiwook was a sign of great respect to the Wookiees and respect among warriors was important to Draelor.
Six months into Year 6, Draelor returned to Coruscant and continued his journey as it had been before. He spent the remainder of Year 6 and part of Year 7 continuing his odd jobs from before, eventually earning his way into a somewhat nicer apartment with a single bedroom. Late in Year 6, he learned of the news of the Black Forest Massacre and it troubled him greatly. He had heard of the Empire’s xenophobia and it was not a sentiment that he necessarily shared, although this event reinforced his convictions that the Galactic Empire was a superpower in the galaxy. He had spent half a year among the Wookiees, learned of their strength as fell warriors and mighty hunters, yet the Galactic Empire exterminated countless Wookiees and other beings. He had to do his part to avoid this fate for his people.
During Year 7, Draelor enrolled in the University of Coruscant after deciding that a career with the Galactic Empire was the best course of action that he wanted to take. Majoring in Military Science and minoring in Sociology, Draelor found a structured education system to be challenging for him at first. However, another student by the name of Kyran Caelius mentored Draelor and helped him to succeed. This mentor-mentee relationship between the Kiffar and the Thyferran/Hapan led to many hours spent together as Draelor learned to be a successful university student. During their discussions, Kyran told Draelor of his first homeworld of Thyferra. These conversations greatly interested Draelor not only as a Kiffar on a journey to explore but as a Sociology student at the university. This led to the two becoming fast friends, before losing contact after Kyran graduated the year prior in Year 8. They would not reestablish contact until Year 14, when Draelor had transferred to the Imperial Security Bureau around the same time that Kyran joined the Black Sun and Imperial Union.
Draelor’s classes at the University of Coruscant included Introduction to Military Science, Basic Military Science, Theory and Dynamics I & II, a Leadership Development Assessment Course, and Concepts of Military Management. His Sociology courses included Introduction to Sociology, Xenohistory, and Galactic Culture. In Year 11, Draelor graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Military Science and a Minor in Sociology. With this new knowledge at his exposure, he physically trained until enlisting in the Imperial Army a year later.

Recruit Nah`utal, Year 12 |
Early in Year 12, Draelor began his enlistment package for the Imperial Army at the Imperial Recruiting Center on Coruscant and was officially approved for enlistment a few short months later. He began his time at the Imperial Academy and officially graduated on Year 12, Day 126 when his Imperial active service officially began. Shortly after his graduation, he was shipped off to Cardia where he spent a month in Infantry School and became an Imperial Stormtrooper. He was assigned to an Imperial Legion where he would begin his career as a fully trained member of the Imperial Army. Nah`utal showed determination and promise, which earned him several quick promotions to Command Sergeant over a short period of time in the Army.
As a Stormtrooper, Draelor was always interested in Reconnaissance but he had been assigned to an Assault Battalion so his opportunity to serve as a Recon Trooper did not come easily. However, he still did what he could to further train and was even permitted to attend a few classes at the Reconnaissance School on Cardia when his duties permitted. In the middle of Year 13, Draelor Nah`utal was promoted to Second Lieutenant and appointed as the Executive Officer of the 2nd “Hellhounds” Brigade shortly after being given the opportunity to serve a short tenure as a Recon Trooper in a Reconnaissance Battalion. However, he was never able to officially be recognized as a Recon Trooper because he was a few months short of the 6-month requirement for the associated badge. Nevertheless, he achieved a goal and served as a Recon Trooper on various missions.
Prior to his appointment, he worked as the Kuat Sector Imperial Intelligence Officer in the Department of Military Intelligence. Unfortunately, his time with Imperial Intelligence was short as he transferred into the Imperial Security Bureau on Year 13, Day 257 as a Probationary Agent. Draelor’s service to the Bureau was long and filled with numerous commendations and promotions, as well as new friendships with other Agents such as Zhaff Orikan and Aspharr Montari. Among his commendations were the Imperial Security Agent Certification, Mentioned in Dispatches, COMPNOR Service Awards, Imperial Service Medals, as well as promotions that led up to ISB-Brigadier General. During his tenure with the Imperial Security Bureau, Draelor served as the Coruscant Oversector Liaison, the Deep Core Sector Liaison, the Corporate Sector Liaison, as well as the Chief of Surveillance. He additionally served the Imperial Academy during his time, reaching Senior Training Officer by Year 15, Day 37 before retiring later that year.
However, near the end of Year 15, Draelor Nah`utal’s tenure as a member of the Imperial Security Bureau came to an end. Quite sometime later, his career seemed to restart in the Regional Government where was assigned to the Corporate Sector under Grand Moff Mikel von Bianchi. All files pertaining to the time period between the end of his career with ISB and the beginning of his career with the Regional Government appear to be sealed by order of the Sith Council. In mid-Year 17, Draelor was appointed to the position of Sector Adjutant of the Corporate Oversector and served as the Sector Adjutant until the end of Year 18 when he stepped down to serve as the Sector Adjutant of the Coruscant Oversector under Grand Moff Zhaff Orikan.
During his long career in the Galactic Empire, Draelor has taken numerous leaves of absence to return to Kiffex and be with his people. He returns to his roots for several days, participating in traditional meals, songs, hunts, and other culture that is a part of who he is at the core. However, he has found a staunch loyalty and devotion to the Empire, which has him ready to return and continue to serve the Empire and the Kiffar people alike.
Order of the Sith
Sometime in mid-Year 14, Draelor was revealed as a public member of the Order of the Sith when an official record of various Sith commendations was officially unsealed by the Sith Council. Among his commendations are the Order of the Sith Member Medal, a Sith Service Award (4th Award), and a Sith Medal of Progress. In addition to this, Draelor had been seen after that time wearing the traditional black cape that many Sith wear in conjunction with their Imperial uniform that was draped over their shoulder and finished with a golden clasp around their neck. His true status within the Order of the Sith remains largely unknown to those outside Imperial Union circles and his command of the Force is merely a supposition, though rumors have circulated that he was once the Apprentice of former Dark Lord of the Sith Mikel von Bianchi also known as Darth Virsunas. Further rumor mills surmise that he has recently been elevated to the title of Sith Master, taking on the mantle of Darth Chaakat.
Kiffar Unification
Emperor Ndengin presiding over the Nah`utal-Vercet wedding |
After a long and arduous on and off relationship spanning a number of years, Draelor finally managed the courage to propose to his partner Relena Vercet. He had decided upon a traditional Kiffar marriage proposal, following in his father’s footsteps whenever he could. During a leave of absence from the Empire, Draelor proposed one of the most sacred Kiffar bonds by challenging Relena to combat. Mediated by a third party Kiffar Elder, a Kiffar marriage proposal included combat between both parties and the winner decided what they wish to do – to bond or not to bond with the one they challenged or the one they were challenged by. A curious tradition to outsiders, but how they fought said a lot about a Kiffar, so this was important to them. Sometimes a Kiffar’s fighting style would completely change the challenger’s decision to bond with the Kiffar.
However, in the case of Draelor Nah`utal and Relena Vercet, the battle lasted for some time before Relena relented. Draelor, infatuated even further by his partner’s ability to defend herself against an opponent that substantially outweighed her and had various advantages against her, decided that he would bond with Relena. By this time in late Year 16, Artemis de Chatillion had handed the position of Regent of the Kiffar Southlands to his longtime friend Decessus Nah`utal. Additionally, Relena had been the Regent of the South for quite some time. The relationship between the pair had caused confusion as in previous years there was a general disconnection between the North and the South that many Kiffar tried to bridge, so a relationship between a “Northie” and a “Southie” was of significance. However, that hearsay was shadowed greatly by the news of an engagement between Draelor and Relena. Draelor’s relationship with the Regent of the South began to slowly bridge the gap between the Kiffar people.
Later in Year 17, then-Emperor Guinar Ndengin mediated and bonded Draelor Nah`utal and Relena Vercet in a traditional ceremony that involved the Gr`hwlan Blade and the Bowl of Yak. This tradition, passed down for generations, mandated that both parties in the bonding spilled blood from their palm using the Gr`hwlan blade into the Bowl of Yak. Each party would drink the mixture of their blood with their partner’s blood, say their vows, and as a result be bonded for life. The wedding was a galactic affair, seeing dignitaries from numerous governments, Sheyfs from around Kiffex, as well as many other notable figures such as Seele, Jeor Knight, Kyran Caelius, Darin Byrch, Spree Razzix, Dante Erinith, and Tnsumi Shine. The bonding between the son and heir of Clan Nah`utal and the Regency of the Kiffar Southlands with the Regent of the North has been long since remembered as the Wedding to unite Kiffex. Since that time, the Kiffar have enjoyed peace and unification across the entire planet.

Physical
Draelor while offduty, Year 19 |
This Kiffar male's disheveled appearance strikes that of an exceptionally seasoned man, with a concrete hint of testosterone in both his gestures and his nuances. He has a full head of lustrous, thick black hair that often appears scruffy or unruly, though it has sometimes been found to be cut short in the past. Under common circumstances, he bears a clean shaved face but he has often been seen with a bit of 5 o’clock shadow or a soul patch to complete what many would consider an attractively rugged look. His eyes are a muted shade of gray that sometimes appears to turn to a crystal blue color when he is in or around a large body of water. His other facial features such as his nose and mouth appear to be average and at an appropriate proportion to the rest of his face. When he offers his own charming smile, he flashes a set of pearly white teeth. The rest of his physical appearance appears to be average when compared to the Kiffar race, judging by their colorful history of hunting and building from the ground up with their bare hands. He weighs roughly 113kg of solid muscle, appearing to have his muscular build refined down to a science. He stands at the above average height of 1.85m, towering slightly over many other Kiffar with a few exceptions. Additionally, some parts of his body are adorned with tattoos, including tribal markings from an unknown Kiffar clan on his chest and a bicep tattoo on either arm.
Personality
In general, Draelor is a very approachable and laid back person, which has caused other people to find him very easy to start and keep an intellectual conversation with. Silent onlookers would find a very thick air of professionalism about him, though some might even see him as too professional, too cold, and perhaps even too calculating. Born into the leading family of a minor turned major Kiffar clan on the world of Kiffex has caused Draelor to develop a very commanding presence, which has led to a natural ability to lead others. Sometimes he can be the quiet type, but when Draelor talks, a multitude of people often listen. Some would say that Draelor is a very calm, collected, and thoughtful person. He can be very determined to the point of being combative about what he believes in, though this has caused problems for him in the past. He has been raised to be a fiercely loyal Kiffar, evident through his stalwart dedication to the ideals of the Galactic Empire and the mandate and beliefs of Clan Nah`utal. He is very protective, caring, and loving towards his family and the other members of his clan. Although Draelor shares some of the Empire's humanocentric views, he is not completely discriminating towards alien races. As do many others in the galaxy, Draelor has a darker side to him as well that is not often evident in the first contact with him. The man has refined a very enigmatic, eerie, and even predatory nature about him that from time to time festers its way out from within him and into his personality. He has a slight temper that he has learned to manage, though those who have been unfortunate enough to see him anger have seen his darker side first hand.
Family
The happy couple, mid-Year 16 |
Family is an extremely important value among the Kiffar people and more so in the mind of Draelor Nah`utal. From the youngest age, he could recall being, his mother and father had always stressed the importance of family to him and to his sister after they were old enough to truly understand. Blood was thick and ran deep within the Kiffar clans, but his parents also taught that family came in all forms. This was an understanding that has stuck with Draelor through his life and has served him well. Meals were always shared in the Nah`utal home and everyone did their part from preparation to cooking, to cleaning.
Draelor developed close personal relationships with his parents from a young age, growing close to his mother as a child and his father as an adult respectively. At the young adolescent ages, there was nothing that could beat a mother’s love. Subconsciously, Draelor had attached to his mother for her affection, though she was well-practiced in giving uncoddled love to her children. As he grew older and his understanding of the world grow with him, he knew that his father’s sense of tough love and general get tough attitude was important. As most children do at the silent wishes of their parents, he developed strong senses of the best part of both parents.
However, ever since Draelor left Kiffex in Year 5, he has felt that his relationship with his parents has become superficial. His leaves spent at home are wonderful and his love for his parents would never fade, but he knew that until he returned permanently he could never have the deep meaningful relationships with them that he had developed in the beginning. He learned that while exploration was a wonderful gift, it often put a strain on those relationships with people that he did not frequently visit or did not travel as well.
Some relationships, though, were always meant to be and this is the belief when it comes to his wife, Relena. Both explorers in their own right, their own flavors of exploration often saw them spending months at a time apart. Their relationship was on and off for years before their marriage, though nothing ever changed how much he adored Relena as his partner and now as his wife. There was no one else in the galaxy that he would have ever considered sharing one of the most sacred Kiffar bonds with.
More recently, Draelor has been able to reconnect with his cousin Amelia Kolczynski. Related by blood through his father’s sister, Anna Nah`utal, Draelor and Amelia have grown extremely close. The Kiffar finds himself as protective over Amelia as he was over his sister, though he must protect her from afar as she serves the Black Sun. Together, though, they enjoy returning to Kiffex to reunite with the clan.

A Dewback spine and Krayt Dragon tooth infused lightsaber |
In the ancient Sith dialect, the name is akin to the words "summon demon". A gift bestowed upon Darth Chaakat by his former Sith Master and Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Virsunas. The emitter and switch sections at the top of the blade are constructed of Imperial-forged durasteel while the body section is constructed of the hollowed spine of a Dewback. The hilt's length is completed by the tip of a Krayt Dragon's tooth constructed as the pommel section of the lightsaber. As is traditional for the Sith, the lightsaber emits a menacing scarlet blade when activated with a suitably eerie shimmer and hum.
