Aliit Qir is a Mandalorian clan that does not currently recognize a Mand'alor.

History

Qir was founded 700 years before the Second Galactic Civil War by one of the descendants of Kronos Visla, the first Mandalorian Jedi. By Year -150 it had grown into one of the largest clans, even owning a city. This was achieved by letting outsiders join.

This act angered several of the other clans, as it "poisoned" the Mando'ade culture. In Year 9, one such clan, Aliit Cre'han, took advantage of the fact that most members of Qir stayed inside Qir-Cly and attacked the city with missiles. Only a few hundred members of Qir survived, and they soon dispersed across the galaxy, with an unknown number off world during the engagement.

On Year 19 Day 194, Hera Qir-no, daughter of the previous leader Fen Qir-no, officially reformed the clan. Just a few days later she was contacted by fellow Mandalorian Teroch Zan, who took the name Teroch Qir-zan, and became second in command.
